This is exactly the percept that Sezar Sanctuary bases itself on. We may be based in Iran, but what we are today is a family scattered across the globe, still closely-knit by intention and emotion.
Our motive is the advocacy of innocent animals whom the nature hasn’t bestowed with the strength to fight against the cruelties by humans.
If you may say so, we are super animal lovers (and protectors), and we do whatever we can to help the abused and street animals that need care. Together, we’ve surmounte
obstacles, taken and won downright challenges, and braved through unmanageable caseloads. And, that has only made the mission stronger.

It all began with a man who couldn’t remain indifferent…
Although Caesar’s Shelter has grown into a global movement, its roots trace back to Iran—back to one man’s heart: Hossein Mohammadi.
A man who dedicated his life to sick, injured, and abandoned animals. With limited resources but an immense heart, he embarked on a path few dared to take.
Everything changed when Caesar, the first dog he rescued, entered his life. From that moment, it was as if he heard an inner calling:
“I must be a voice for the voiceless…”
Hossein embraced this responsibility with his whole being and made it his life’s mission. That was just the beginning of a noble story.
When one person begins, others follow.
Hossein Mohammadi’s tireless efforts inspired countless people—from all over the world, regardless of language or religion. Thus, Caesar’s Shelter evolved from an individual initiative into a collective effort: a network of people who refuse to stay silent in the face of animal cruelty.
Hands joined, resources expanded, support grew, and the mission gained momentum. Today, this movement is stronger than ever. Hossein Mohammadi has single-handedly rescued hundreds of dogs, and Caesar’s Shelter aims to multiply that number every year.

We believe in humanity—and that better people will build a better world for animals. In fact, we might even say: the more we care for animals, the better humans we become.

We’ve come a long way since the beginning—providing professional care to abused and abandoned dogs, both in Iran and beyond. We stand firmly against animal cruelty, including mass-scale atrocities like puppy mills, dog fighting, and the systemic mistreatment of dogs.
Caesar’s Shelter also plays a vital role in supporting animal rescue groups across Iran. In the face of injustice, we do everything within legal bounds to protect animals—and we aim to expand this mission on a global scale.
